Mockingbird Valley Premier Complete Historic Double with 2026 OVPL Men's Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Mockingbird Valley Premier capped off a remarkable season by defeating Kings Hammer SC 4-0 in the 2026 Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL) Men's Championship at Legacy Field on Saturday.

The victory marked the club's first-ever OVPL Men's Championship appearance and title, while Kings Hammer SC also reached the championship match for the first time in club history after an impressive playoff run.

With the win, Mockingbird Valley Premier accomplished something no club has done before in the OVPL—winning both the Men's and Women's Championships in the same season. Just one week after Mockingbird Valley Premier's women's side lifted the league trophy, the men's team completed the historic club double, cementing 2026 as a landmark year for the organization.

Mockingbird Valley Premier controlled the championship from start to finish, producing an emphatic 4-0 performance to cap an outstanding campaign and claim the league's top prize.

Kings Hammer SC's run to the final should not be overlooked. After battling through a dramatic 4-3 semifinal victory over Valhalla FC, the club earned its first opportunity to compete for an OVPL championship and showcased the continued growth of its program throughout the season.

For Mockingbird Valley Premier, the championship is only the beginning.

The club now turns its attention toward the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, where it will pursue a place in the tournament through the qualifying rounds. With momentum on its side and history already made, Mockingbird Valley Premier will look to continue its success on the national stage.
