The GLA_OVPL Expands Player Pathway with the Launch of Summer U19 Development League for Men's and Women's Teams

The Great Lakes Alliance's Premier Amateur Soccer League in the Ohio Valley Region Opens Doors for Summer U19 Player Development
Cleveland, Ohio, 12/27/23 - The Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL), the leading amateur soccer league in the Ohio Valley region, is thrilled to announce the introduction of the U19 division for men's and women's teams through the Great Lakes Alliance and US Club Soccer, enhancing the player pathway and providing an unparalleled summer development opportunity. This expansion aims to foster long-term player development, making the OVPL a key player in shaping the future of soccer in the region.
Enhanced Player Pathway:
The new U19 division further expands the OVPL's commitment to player development, offering a six-match summer season from June 5 to July 31, 2024. Geared towards players aged 15 to 19, this division provides a dynamic and competitive platform for clubs to nurture talent and elevate their players' skills.
Widespread Reach:
Since its inception in 2019, the OVPL has seen over 4,500 men and women participate in our U23+ leagues, solidifying its status as the premier amateur soccer league in the Ohio Valley region. The addition of the U19 division establishes the OVPL's commitment to accommodating a wide range of players, fostering inclusivity, and supporting clubs in building solid foundations for their aspiring stars.
Elite Summer Experience:
Clubs participating in the U19 division can expect an affordable and elite summer playing experience, with registration open until February 12, 2024. The cost-effective league membership is $800 for six matches for both men and women, with respective championships at the end of the season.
