Lexington Landsharks add Women's Team
The Lexington Landsharks are the first member club to commit to playing in the inaugural women's division 2020 season of the Ohio Valley Premier League (OVPL). The Landsharks are led by the Head of Operations Jimmy Rue, Head of Coaching and Player Development Mike Donnelly, and the Director of Marketing and Player Relations Daniel David. The women's team for the Landsharks will be coached by Jim Borman. As a club, the Landsharks build from an extremely local player pool that brings pride to the city of Lexington.
With the formation of their women's team, the Lexington Landsharks have created the first-ever women's amateur team to compete at the regional and national level in Lexington. A Founding Member of the men's division of the OVPL, the Landsharks have created a pathway for men and women in the central Kentucky area for players to continue their careers from youth-to-adult. If you are interested in playing for the Landsharks, the men's and women's teams will be hosting open tryouts on March 15 and March 22.
Through the year, the Landsharks train at Next Level Lexington. During the OVPL, home matches will be at the Transylvania Athletic Complex.
